SSI Advanced Adventurer Course in Bahía Solano
You are already a diver—now become a better one. The SSI Advanced Adventurer is the perfect next step after your Open Water certification. Over 2 to 3 days, you will complete 5 specialty dives in the Pacific Ocean. It’s the “sampler platter” of diving: you’ll try deep diving, navigation, and three other areas of your choice to build real-world experience.
Where Adventure Runs on Fins
Unlock the full potential of the Pacific Ocean.

What Is The Advanced Adventurer?
Think of this course as guided experience. Instead of sitting in a classroom, you are out on the boat. You will complete 5 Adventure Dives. Two are mandatory (Deep Diving and Underwater Navigation), and the other three you choose with your instructor based on your interests and the conditions in Bahía Solano (like Night Diving, Perfect Buoyancy, or Boat Diving).

How It Works (Step-by-Step)
- Step 1: Digital Learning (Home): Read the short chapters for the 5 dives you plan to do. It’s quick, practical theory focused on safety and skills.
- Step 2: Deep Dive (Mandatory): We take you below 18m (typically to 30m) to manage your gas supply and see how color and pressure change at depth.
- Step 3: Navigation Dive (Mandatory): Learn to use a compass and natural landmarks so you never feel lost underwater again.
- Step 4: Three Elective Dives: Choose your adventure!
Wreck Diving: Explore the famous Sebastian de Belalcazar shipwreck.
Night Diving: See the reef glow in the dark with bioluminescence.
Perfect Buoyancy: Hover effortlessly and save air.
Fish ID: Learn the names of the Pacific creatures.
- Step 5: Boat/Drift: Master entries and exits in currents.Step 5: Certification: Log your dives, high-five your instructor, and receive your digital SSI Advanced Adventurer card immediately.

Who it’s for (requirements)
- Prerequisite: Must be a certified Open Water Diver (SSI, PADI, NAUI, etc.).
- Age: Minimum 10 years old (Junior) or 12+ (Deep Dive requirement).
- Health: Standard Medical Questionnaire.
- Experience: You can start this immediately after your Open Water course! No minimum number of logged dives required.
New to the Pacific? We’ve got your back. We handle the navigation and currents so you can relax, drift at your own pace, and focus entirely on the magic around you.

Yes! It is the exact equivalent. The standards (5 dives, Deep + Nav mandatory) are identical. Your SSI Advanced Adventurer card is respected by every dive shop in the world.
Is there a final exam?
No! There are just knowledge reviews. This course is about diving, not testing.
Can I combine this with the Cabo Marzo trip?
Yes! We can often arrange for some of your training dives (like Drift or Boat diving) to happen during the Cabo Marzo expedition. Ask us about a custom package.
What gear is provided?
We provide high-end rental gear, including XDEEP backplates, dive computers, and compasses necessary for the navigation dive.
