What Is A Night Dive?
A Night Dive is more than just diving in the dark; it's a chance to see marine life you never see during the day. As the sun sets, the "day shift" fish go to sleep, and the "night shift" takes over. You'll see lobsters walking freely, octopuses changing colors as they hunt, and moray eels swimming in the open. Plus, Bahía Solano is famous for its bioluminescence—tiny plankton that glow when you move the water.
Que harás (paso por paso)
- Meet & Briefing (17:30): Arrive at the shop as the sun begins to set. We'll prepare your gear and give a specific Night Dive Briefing (covering light signals and buddy procedures).
- Boat Ride at Dusk: Enjoy a short boat ride under the stars to a calm, protected reef site.
- The Dive: Descend into the dark with your guide. We'll use our lights to find critters, and at one point, we'll dim them to admire the bioluminescence.
- Surface & Return: Ascend to a starry sky and head back to the dock, ready for dinner and a good night's sleep.
A quién está dirigido (requisitos)
- Certification: Must hold an Aguas Abiertas Avanzado certification OR an Open Water certification with a Curso de especialidad en Buceo Nocturno (or proof of previous night experience).
- Comfort Level: You must be comfortable diving in low-light conditions.
- Experiencia reciente: We recommend having dived within the last 12 months.
